What?
The Munch Museum, together with Olle Abstracts podcast LYD, are throwing a series of Late Nights, the first of which will be a night of great Norwegian artists. After playing at By:LARM last year, BAYA has gotten a lot of attention worldwide. With his danceable electronica and riveting live shows he has even been booked for SXSW! Releasing his new album “Oslo/Harlem – Harlem/Oslo” this friday, prepare to be transported into an entirely different universe. Check out “Give Me That Dive” to get a better idea!
Also playing this night is Viviana Vega, better known as Whalesharkattacks. With a unique and fresh combination of goth, dark RnB, punk and trap you will be both surprised and engaged.
Experienced musician Bendik Baksaas will be DJing. An eclectic night of music and art. Be there!

What?
Jenny Hval has always been a breath of fresh air, and with the release of her album “Blood Bitch” she has finally gotten the international recognition she deserves. Pitchfork named the album one of their top five, The Wire gave her great reviews and she was supporting act for The XX on tour this winter. Her live shows never seize to give you goosebumps, so if you are looking for something to sharpen your senses this grey and dull Thursday you should definitely stop by Rockefeller for a “Ritual Awakening“!
Support comes from Vilde Tuv. Two amazing women for the price of one!

What?
With a mix of indie, hip hop and jazz, Verdensrommet deliver textured soundscapes to lose yourself in. With their latest release,”Problem“, their sound is has taken a turn towards pop, though the melody and drums linger on jazz. The Guardian described them as: “cosmic pop that stations Brian Wilson somewhere on the other side of Jupiter.[…]”

What?
Never miss a Jassbox event! This time around they focus on Bergen-bound artists such as Myra, TJ DanSon and DJ Basso.
If you haven’t listened to Myra yet, you have missed out. With sharp lyrics, confident delivery and a dynamic flow, she shows us the true potential of Norwegian rap.
TJ DanSon is a 19 year old norwegian MC/Producer. His beats are clearly affected by the classic 90’s boombop sound, but with a broad spectre of jazz-samples he has created music which fits most states of mind.
Also playing are the experienced DJs Basso and DJ Stig Paa. Dance the night away!

Nasjonal jazzscene, Karl Johans gate 35
