Hjerteslag are a Bergen four-piece with roots in hardcore, punk and pop who released their debut album “Møhenspris Motell” in the spring of 2015. Produced by Mathias Tellez (Young Dreams) and Fredrik Vogsborg (Casiokids, The Megaphonic Thrift) it was well reviewed and called to mind The Smiths if they’d sung in Norwegian, as well as other Bergen luminaries like John Olav Nilsen og Gjengen and Fjorden Baby! On Wednesday they play an all ages show at Musikkflekken in Sandvika, on the outskirts of Oslo. Support from Sauropod.
With monster (get it?) hit “Little Talks” and Billboard-topping album “My Head Is An Animal” from 2011, Of Monsters And Men exploded onto the international scene and have been selling out concerts and delighting festival crowds ever since. Now they return to Oslo for a sold out Sentrum Scene show. Support comes from fellow Icelanders Mammut.
Oslo World Music Festival has, since 1994, presented some of the very best of what the world has to offer musically from outside the mainstream pop world. At Blå on Thursday night two local artists, OMVR and Miss Tati, who both have their roots outside of Norway will play a double concert. Dj Patski Love will play before and after the live shows.
Morten Vee & Kevin Fauske continue their series of concert/interviews/dj set extravaganzas at Hvaskjer in Torshov. This time they have LEIF whose new single “Boys Who Want Love” comes out the day before and young techo/house producer/dj Haugli who’ll both play live and be interviewed from the stage. Vee & Fauske will continue the night from behind the wheels of steel.
