robert-glasper-experiment

What?
Robert Glasper Experiment. The quartette, with Robert Glasper at the head, mixes music genres such as jazz, neo-soul, hiphop, gospel and R&B, into something brilliant. They’ve also transformed rock songs like Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and Radiohead’s Packed Like Sardines In a Crushed Tin Box into funk-fusions – two reasons to why the Experiment is a band to explore. The saluted 2012 album Black Radio won a Grammy for Best R&B album at the 55th Grammy Awards, and in September this year Robert Glasper Experiment released their third album ArtScience. Makes sure to see them live at the Fasching takeover at Södra Teatern.

Karen Marie Ørstad, otherwise known as Mø, has collaborated with Major Lazer, and it’s hard to have missed the single Lean On that, during the summer of 2015, was at the top of every list. With a striking hoarse voice and a new single recently released, Danish Mø is taking over the electronic pop scene. Support from wonderful Naomi Pilgrim.

Jonas Lundqvist + Hanna Järver. Grown up in Gothenburg, former drummer in Bad Cash Quartet, considered one of Sweden’s best dressed men 2016 AND a tennis teacher. Jonas Lundqvist has many qualities, but his musical solo career is the one that’s mainly on the agenda at the moment.
Hanna Järver released the singles Samma Gamla Himmel and Ingenting Skrivet in 2015, which was voted by P3 (amongst others) to be two of the best songs of the year. In 2016 she released the warmly welcomed EP Närke.
