Vega’s New Crush is Vega’s very own newcomer night! They have selected a bunch of new international bands, such as:
Fraser A. Gorman
And what do you know… the following night bares even more newcomers at Vega! This time in collaboration with RMC, Denmark’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory – with one of its graduates as their guest curator for the night, presenting:
Ideal Bar, Vega
65 DKK (40 DKK for RMC students)
Myrkur: behind the Icelandic name that means ‘darkness’ is Danish musician Amalie Bruun. And darkness she brings: black metal, to be more precise. Her new album ‘M’ is out, and she’s already gotten a lot of good reviews by Danish and international music magazines.
Low Roar: dreamy and spherical folk music from Iceland, that will remind you a bit of the sounds of Grizzly Bear and Sigur Rós. Delivered to you in one of the best soundscapes in Denmark, Koncerthuset – so perfect to escape the cold grey October weather!
British musician and underground icon Richard Youngs (on sitar!) is visiting Copenhagen and gets to play and curate two concerts in a row! He’ll play at Mayhem and Jazz House, and on each night he’ll be joined by varying artists from the Danish music scene. Saturday at Mayhem he’ll be joined by Rare Blood and more, and his Sunday support at Jazzhouse is yet to be announced.
Mayhem and Jazz House
70 DKK for one night, 100 DKK for both
