Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel returns to Oslo for the first time since his, by all accounts, legendary concert at Kulturkirken Jakob in 2013. With three critically acclaimed albums to his name, and a reputation as one of the world’s great contemporary live artists this promises to be a treat. Just don’t stand too close to the front of the stage or you might end up being the latest victim of the infamous “Miguel Leg Drop“.
Canadian singer, songwriter and producer Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) performs an exclusive showcase at the Vulkan Arena in Oslo as his only show in the Nordic region this year. His latest album Beauty Behind the Madness was released on August 28, 2015 and features guest appearances and production from Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey and Maty Noyes.
The wonderful Egil Olsen releases his live album «ooo this happened (on a cold summer night at ocean sound recordings)» and celebrates with a Norwegian tour and release concert at Parkteatret this Friday. Hailing from Ørsta in the west of Norway, Egil has become a live favourite with his concerts distinguished by their contrast between the vulnerable, simple songs and his unpredictable humour and comic timing on stage. With the new, slightly darker tracks this contrast is perhaps even more defined. «ooo this happened (on a cold summer night at ocean sound recordings)» is a live version of his studio album «ooo this happened» which was released earlier this year.

Bob Dylan seems to come to Oslo every year, but this time around instead of one huge concert he’s bringing his band to do three “intimate” shows at Oslo Konserthus. Expect to hear songs from his well reviewed new album «Shadows In The Night» as well as a selection from his impressive back catalogue. With the cheapest tickets at 1350NOK this has got to be one of the most expensive concerts in Oslo EVER!
Action Bronson has played Oslo twice before with shows at SAWOL (RIP) and Dattera til hagen and now returns to play a sold out Rockefeller. After releasing a series of well received mixtapes over the last 3 years he dropped his major label debut album Mr Wonderful in March this year which contained his usual mix of “fantastical bullshit over laidback beats” and regular references to gourmet food which has become somewhat of a trademark of his. For fans of Mobb Deep, Nas and Wu-Tang Clan.
