Oslo’s most famous new building and an institution which has helped to open up so-called high culture to the masses, the Norwegian Opera & Ballet has a tradition of offering chamber concerts on the balcony in the foyer every afternoon during the summer. WHAT?
A mysterious new-ish addition to the Oslo club scene, Rap Coven describe themselves as “cyber space witch hop” and have been doing a monthly club night at Fisk & Vilt for a little while now. With words like “60s love child”, “extravangaza” and “Factory” being bandied around and influences including David Lynch and John Waters we’re not quite sure what to expect, but it’s safe to say it won’t be dull!

Sukkerbiten was established 5 years ago as a summer venue in Sørenga, right beside the sea and just beyond the Opera House. Probably the sweetest spot in the whole city to sit and enjoy liquid refreshment when the sun is shining, they also have a pretty extensive programme over the summer and collaborate with various festivals and venues to deliver concerts and club nights. This time around it’s a linkup with the Swedish street wear brand/webstore Junkyard, with a line up which includes:
